Giant Schnauzer Destiny was just adopted to her new family in Cumberland, Maryland last week.
This dog appears to be a rottie/lab mix, but it is a black and tan smooth haired Giant.
She could be in MD, WV, or PA as this family lives in a tri-state area

HOPE HAS BEEN FOUND!!
Virginia, USA
(Hope)
|
|
|
On January 21, 2007 on her way to her new home, Hope, a black Giant Schnauzer female,
was involved in an automobile accident on I-81 South, about 20 miles north of Roanoke, VA with her new owner. The roads were
very icy, the car crashed and Hope escaped through a rear door that flew open. It was night, she is black, and despite
efforts to find her, she was not found. She is not from this area and would be unfamiliar with the surroundings. Hope is very
friendly, probably very frightened. She is approximately 1.5-2 yrs old, 75 pounds, recently groomed. She has cropped ears
(left ear is down, right is standing sometimes) and a docked tail.
She is micro-chipped through 24PETWatch.com (866) 597-2424 has a rabies tag with the animal hospital
phone number on it (Rabies Tag # 2929, Wantagh Animal Hospital 1-516-221-2020) and a NYS license on her collar. The collar
is a multicolor blue. If you think you have found her, please take her to the local shelter to have the microchip read. They
will be able to contact me, or call 718 596 5525.
Update!!!
Apparently a female trucker from Covenant Trucking Company
heading north on I81 was seen trying to entice the dog to come with her and since this sighting no one has seen the
dog. The woman with the help of some other truck drivers is trying to get in touch with this corporation (which is HUGE)
to locate this female truck driver. If anyone out there can offer some assistance or if more people can get the word
out it would be greatly appreciated. They are all thinking that this Covenant Truck diver possibly has the dog. This
woman is heart broken not only did she loose her new dog but her purse was stolen as well during the incident. Thank
you for any help
Update Feb 6th, 2007
Hope has been found! What great news. Thanks to
someone recognizing her from a flyer, she was recovered from the lady who stole her.
